It is important that all perspective pet owners call and make an appointment to pick up your new pet before you come to the shelter.  We need time to gather the information you will need to help you make a good home for your newly acquired pet.  Please give us time to have your pet ready when you come to pick them up.

The SPCA cannot be held responsible for the health or temperament of any animal adopted. It is important to realize that the SPCA does attempt to accumulate the history of each animal that comes through our doors, but this minimal amount of history should not be relied upon when it comes to the health and safety of your new pet.  It is highly recommended that you, as the person adopting the animal, present your new pet to a participating veterinary clinic of your choice within (7) seven business days of adoption for a courtesy visit. This visit will include a courtesy general examination and initial vaccination.

The Society and the veterinary clinic are not responsible for the fees of this visit beyond the initial examination.
